Laura "Flint" is a licensed and certified Physical
Therapist with a wide range of experience in many
disciplines within PT. She owned and managed her
own practice, "Flintworks", in Brooklyn NY for 16 years
before moving to the Myrtle Beach Area.
Flint has shared her knowledge by teaching P.T. at
four colleges, including City College of New York.
Outside of her Physical Therapy business, Flint is on
the Board of Directors for the Theatre of the Republic in Conway,
and can be seen
in many of their productions.
“Flint” recently presented a paper on the psycho-social
management
of chronic disease at the American Lymphology
Society in Kansas City, Missouri. This conference was the 4th annual meeting and was held in conjunction with the Department of Continuing Medical Education at the Truman Medical Center of Kansas City. The objectives of the conference were to educate the participants to differentiate between lymphatic and venous diseases; select appropriate diagnostic tests; formulate and evaluate a plan of care and to integrate skills and knowledge to a clinical practice.
